Vehicle Catches Fire

Whenever you see smoke coming from under the hood of your vehicle:

Pull immediately off the road, turn your ignition to the off position, and move away from the vehicle.
Dial 911 for police and fire personnel.
If the fire is under the hood and flames are shooting, DO NOT open the hood of the vehicle.
If the fire is out of control move at least 100 feet away, as a fuel fire can cause the fuel tank to explode. Do not attempt to put out the fire.
