Veteran Designation

State law effective September 1, 2012 allows a veteran designation on a Rhode Island license or ID.

• Veteran's must present a DD 214, DD 2, or other forms that show an honorable discharge to qualify for the veteran license or ID designation even if you already have veteran license plates.
• The veteran designation is free of charge.
• You will need to complete the Veteran Designation form and bring it to the DMV.
